Description:  VAN - Volunteer Action Northamptonshire is a charity whose aim is to empower young people to realise their potential and encourage them to own their future so they can dynamically affect their lives. This is done using a 3 stage process. We engage young people through workshops to give them something to do that appeals to them, we recruit young people to participate in projects and mentor more young people to lead in the creation of these projects and workshops.
We also support other charities by arranging volunteering placements for young people seeking voluntary activity.
Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more information about our projects and workshops or if you wish to set up your own workshop, project or social enterprise. If you are interested in learning more about anything in particular then one of our many volunteer placements with our partner agencies in Kettering, Corby or Wellingborough may be for you.
All voluntary placements, either with us or with our partner agencies are supported by relevant training and/or workplace skills development.
