The Manor and Gardens were given back to the english people and are now open to the public as a museum which can be visited most times of the year. | The Tudor period was brought to life during the living history weekend. Here we see kitchen staff preparing dishes for the dinner to be served later. As far as possible authentic recipies were used from cookbooks dating back to the 16th century. | ||
| Whilst the kitchen staff prepared various dishes others prepared the food for the meal and servants busied themselves around the house cleaning and tidying. | ||
| The Washington sisters were enjoying a more relaxing time. All the costumes are made by members of the Tudor living history group and attempt to be faithful reproductions of the costumes of the Tudor period. | ||
