| May 26th-28th Santa Pod, near Wellingborough, hosted the European Drag Racing championships which attracted competitors from many European countries in a variety of vehicles | ||

| Although the cars and bikes are only on the track for a matter of seconds, preparation has to be thorough. | ||

| A lot of famous names were evident on the vehicles as sponsors. |

| With so many cars and bikes competing, timing and organisation were everything. With the exception of the weather, everything seemed to go according to plan! |

| The idea of laying on top of bike and being projected forwards to around 300mph in a couple of secondsmay not appeal to everybody - but it's certainly spectacular to watch!! |
