Judging by attendance numbers, when Rockingham Motor Speedway decided that the general public wanted more from their day out than to watch cars going round and round the oval circuit they certainly got it right. Having previously arranged an appearance of the boy band 'Busted' at an earlier ASCAR event which was well supported, there was every indication that putting top band Liberty X on the bill would attract large numbers.
Liberty X first came together during the smash hit TV programme 'Popstars' when the finalists were chosen from literally thousands of hopefuls.
The winning five from the programme went on to form the group 'Hearsay' and the other five - Jessica, Tony, Kevin, Michelle and Kelli were expected to fade away into obscurity.
Far from dissapearing, they stayed together and became Liberty X and now boast a string of hit records, including the smash No.1 'Just a Little'
Liberty X were on stage for around 20 mins at the Rockingham Circuit, during which time they performed a number of their hit songs to a large, enthusiastic crowd.
They seemed genuinely pleased with the response they got from the crowd, and Rockingham were equally pleased to see that they had managed to get it right for so many enthusiastic fans.

Rockingham are now planning similar events, combining music and motor sport with many other top names set to appear.
