|---|---|---|---|
| The UK’s largest celebration of learning is being marked by Northamptonshire County Council with a series of events throughout the county. Adult Learners' Week (19-25 May) is an annual week-long national campaign to inspire people to pursue adult learning - either to catch up on skills not learnt at school, to learn for or at work, or to learn for fun. In Northamptonshire, the range of events organised to celebrate adult learning includes a number of learning opportunities in libraries: • A beginner’s guide to shopping on the Internet Details of events taking place in libraries are available from council’s website: Northamptonshire County Council’s adult learning team has co-ordinated an information stand in Grosvenor Centre (outside Burtons) on Saturday 19th May from 10.30am until 3pm promoting learning and the adult learning Spring/Summer courses, offering information advice and guidance and various activities around recycling, composting and how to deal with junk mail. In addition, the council is running a green issues poetry competition.
