DUXFORD LAUNCH THE ULTIMATE SIMULATOR FOR EASTER

The ultimate simulator experience for young and old will be taking off at the Imperial War Museum Duxford this Easter holidays.

For a small additional charge, a brand new motion simulator will give visitors the chance to take part in an exciting dogfight over the White Cliffs of Dover, filmed in real time by Duxford-based Spitfires and a
Messerschmitt Bf109. The motion simulator moves from the perspective of the Bf109 as it makes a lightning raid on Britain during the 1940 Battle of Britain.
Says Duxford's Marketing and Public Relations Manager Tracey Woods "This gives visitors the opportunity to experience a Spitfire dogfight. Visitors can have a truly realistic flight experience without
ever leaving the ground!"

World famous for its collection of historic aircraft, Duxford has a host of other fascinating and unusual objects on display - visitors quickly realise there's more to Duxford than aeroplanes. The Battle
of Britain exhibition gives an insight into life in wartime Britain, complete with air raid shelter and the only surviving Messerschmitt Bf109 shot down during the Battle itself in 1940.

All the facilities for a great family day out are available at Duxford, including ample free parking, a licensed restaurant and FREE admission for children under 16.

Duxford is just south of Cambridge at Junction 10 of the M11 and is open daily from 10.00 am. For more information, visit http://www.iwm.org.uk/duxford.
